The Board of Directors has planned to reformulate CerradinhoBio’s management so that the deliberation of strategic issues, with the objective of protecting and valuing the company’s assets, in order to offer the best performance and return to the shareholders are accomplished, in addition to generating value to the company.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of 6 members, 50% of whom are independent:
He is José Fernandes’ son and holds an MBA in Strategic Business Management, in addition to studies in Agronomic Engineering and updates in administrative management, renewable energies, and markets, in Brazil and abroad. He was the CEO of CerradinhoBio for 30 years, and currently chairs the boards of CerradinhoBio, CerradinhoPar, Viiv Empreendimentos Imobiliários and W7 Energia. Board member of União da Indústria da Cana-de-Açúcar (Unica), an entity that represents employers in the sugar-energy sector, he has also chaired the Associação de Produtores de Açúcar, Etanol e Energia (Biocana), an entity that brings together major players in the sugar-energy sector, for three terms.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Mackenzie-SP and an MBA in Business Management from Dom Cabral.
She is a member of the second generation of the Sanches Fernandes family.
He has been in the sugar-energy industry for 32 years and, more recently, in energy and real estate ventures, represented by CerradinhoBio, CerradinhoPar, Viiv Empreendimentos Imobiliários, and W7 Energia.
She serves as a member of the Board of Directors, Board of Shareholders, and supporting committees

He is José Fernandes’ grandson and graduated in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP, started his work at Grupo Cerradinho in 2009. He is currently an Administrator at CerradinhoLog, CFO at CerradinhoPar, as well as a member of the Board of Directors at CerradinhoBio and W7 Energia.
João Bosco Silva is a Senior Consultant and Partner at Cambridge Family Enterprise Group-Brazil. Graduated in Metallurgical Engineering, MBA from IMEDE in Switzerland, and board member certified by IBGC. Solid career in the aluminum industry, where he became HR director, with international experience as director of performance improvement, becoming CEO.
He is the founder of Bridge Business Advisors advising entrepreneurs and senior executives on corporate strategy, performance management, and governance. He acts as board member or chairman of several Brazilian companies in the retail, agribusiness, food, mining, infrastructure, and services sectors.
He served as CEO of Alcan Brasil and Votorantim Metais and was responsible for the company’s international expansion.
An economist with a master’s and Ph.D. degrees in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, his professional trajectory is highlighted by his work in academic, financial, and governmental institutions. He has served as vice-president of insurance and executive director in a large banking institution, as president of the Instituto de Resseguros do Brasil (IRB), and as secretary of Economic Policy in the Ministry of Finance. At the institution, was an assistant professor of economics at the Brazilian School of Economics and Finance of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and at Stanford University’s Department of Economics. He is currently the president of Insper, where he has also served as vice-president.
Agronomic Engineer, Coordinator of the Agribusiness Center at Fundação Escola de Economia da Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Special Ambassador of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations – FAO (since 06/2012) for Cooperatives.
He is a member of several corporate, institutional, and academic boards. He has published 9 books.
He was President of the Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives – OCB, of the Brazilian Rural Society – SRB, of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association – ABAG, of the International Cooperative Alliance – ICA, of the Higher Council of Agribusiness of FIESP-COSAG, of the National Academy of Agriculture. He was Professor at the Department of Rural Economics at UNESP – Jaboticabal Campus and first holder of the “Luiz de Queiroz” Chair of Agribusiness at USP.
He was formerly São Paulo’s Secretary of Agriculture and Supply (1993-1994) and Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply – MAPA (2003-2006).
